The disbursal and recovery of loans by private banks Here, in India the emerging economy, the consumerism have opened the floodgates of demands. Specially of consumer durables, real estates even foreign tours are undertaken while raising loans. Here comes with ready cash the private banks represented by their hirelings (read agents not the employees). Most of them with hardly loyalty to the bank, try to disburse the loan with scanty verification or no verification in a bid to earn commission. For this they enjoy the patronage of the bank officials sometime who are hard pressed to meet the target. A lot many bankrupts thus manage to take fresh loans suppressing their true credit worthiness. As a result the problem starts at the time of recovery. This happens mostly when the loan is disbursed to a man at least who really he is. He faces the music what may not be practicable in civilized world. You know, generally the Bank employees seldom lay hand before other banks for loan than his own. Off course there are exceptions, but they are not rules. Next to this, you will find a complaint letter , written by one nationalised Bank employee to his local police station. The letter is self explanatory, it`s a complaint against the recovery team of ICICI Bank for the loan which has never been taken !!! Beware of such happenings !!

Be prepare folks, next time I am going to post a complaint letter written to the local officer incharge of Police , regarding the atrocities by a renowned Private Bank/ You will surprised to know, and take due care for any such occurrence with you !!

Those days in early 60s at Chittaranjan was swayed with some activities, specially for we children. I do not know how many of you have heard the name of Swopon Buro, who established SOB PEYECHI R ASHORE; it was brought in by one Instructor of our Technical School. The person was very well natured, tolerant and obviously gentle man, his name was Mr Abani Ghosal (there are still his wards serving and staying at Chittaranjan). We all loved him so much and called him Master Mashai, his daughters and sons also with us and we all joined the SOB PEYECHI R ASHOR. Those days were truly golden days of Chittaranjan. The Ashore had all the activities mental, physical, cultural under it`s umbrella. Many young men joined Master Moshai in his pursuit. They trained us in games, cultural activities, music, songs even helped us with our school home tasks ! I am not sure which year Pandit Neheru visited Chittaranjan to mark the occasion of rolling out first electric locomotive. Either it was 1960 or 61. We all were taken to the small field, adjoining to the railway track, beside the GM Office. On the track the newly built Electric Locomotive remained static being garlanded all around, like the decorated car we usually find groom uses on the day of marriage. Nearby there was a stage. We could barely see our the then Prime Minister from a distant point , where our school was allotted space. I could hardly understand what he spoke. What fascinated me was the engine! Thereafter for quite some time I use to dream to become a engine driver in future ; In those events less days, truly it was a memorable day at Chittaranjan. The life was as simple as any of village in those days. The metal roads, the electricity, the schools, the hospital made the difference. Hardly anyone was having fans or radios. In summer it was quite common to sleep outside....

Hi, You all; last time I ended where I stepped out to my first school. Way back in 1958-59 the climate there was not what you find in recent past. The township was in the making, the greenery was offing. The rough and less green township was having a sort of extreme climate. May be with the greenery, later changed the climate turning it more comfortable. Usually in those days very few of us were using shoe or chapple; unless it was a special day like 26 th Jan or 15 th Aug or school sports day. Bare footed as usual we use to play at adjoining school ground, closed to the Srilata Institute. In winter, the school going business in the morning was really very disgusting. My father who used to go to the workshop by cycle usually offered me the lift. However our primary school was devoid of a game teacher or any other paraphernalia like foot ball, rackets or to name anything of that short. In recent past , lots of complaints are pouring in from all over India against the Private Bank`s mode of recovery. This is observed that they are engaging goons to recover lapsed installments of any sort of loan . Not only that the fraud stars may with false documentations and obviously in collusion with the Bank`s staff or agent , may raise loan. Then the recovery team (read goons) may knock on your doors with their full blown muscle. Hi, Everybody, sometime some of you keep me asking about my days and time at Chittaranjan. This is natural, after all there are gaps of decades between most of you and me ! This has prompted me with an idea of writing this to share my old good days with those of you who are interested. Indian Railway under the British colonial rule was another group of companies with different British Managements. Since the different railway networks under all of them were used mutually for their own benefits. At places, different railway companies had the facilities of repairing and maintenance of their locomotives and passenger and goods carriages. To name a few, like Anda, Adra, Howrah, Liluah, Mughal sarai, Jhajha , these are they places I mention since they are quite closed by our loving Chittaranjan. you know, the emerging economy in India has brought it`s own perils as well. The middle class in pursue of consumerism is always in need of more funds even without having their own surplus to dispense with. Here the private banks lay the trap. These days take a bus ride in any metro, semi meto or small town, the big hoardings inviting the borrowers from private Banks and few other financial companies , can not escape your notice. who are the takers? you and me or the people like you and me ! This paves the way for frauds to have boom in collusion with the agencies, which are engaged by the Banks to disburse the loans. The temporary employees o f the agency , does not look for the job security as it is not for them. So get rich quick is their motto. by hook or crook. Doing so , they bring troubles for may gullible citizens.How is it ! I shall let you know , next time.
