While the bankruptcy rates for these clients is very low, when economic downturns happen, their ability to pay in a timely fashion also suffers. This leads to businesses such as Science Construction needing to take on additional debt and to find creative methods in order to stay afloat during times of recession. Methods such as selling accounts receivables at discounted rates and taking larger lines of credit through banks and other lending institutions are some of the ways organizations can remain viable when their cash inflows have turned into a trickle. The 21st century has seen a remarkable advance in terms of advances in information technology (IT) and corporate globalization.
According to Roy (2017), "Literature and theory are used to develop a conceptual model for the adoption of information technology (IT) and the globalization of business purchasing behavior. and global are also examined. "
Nowadays, information technology is able to do the following tasks:
- Storage of large amounts of information
- ubiquitous access to information
- Astronomical types and amounts of calculations on information
- Instant Wide distance communication in any format (text, video, audio) at low cost.
- Things can be automated and scripted. (Storage of large amounts of information
All of this ultimately means that the Internet is uniform throughout the world and accessible too (Khan, 2017)
All this shows us that the Internet is uniform throughout the world and equally accessible and has transformed the world as a global village.
We will, therefore, see that information technology contributes to globalization as follows:
- Currently, the access to information is very easy compared to the past, Through Google and many other websites, we provide access to information and news on a specific and recent topic without having to physically go there.
"In today's world, knowledge is the greatest asset, and so IT provides an even playing field for everyone." (Khan, 2017)
- Communication between continents, countries, are becoming easier and harmonized, allowing the creation of a large market worldwide where everyone can have access virtually and the old paradigms of supply and the demand are now being influenced because many commercial transactions are now possible online.
The job search, for instance, is no longer limited by the frontiers of today thanks to the technological advance. employers can find better profiles all over the world because the distance does not matter anymore.
- The existence of virtual and digital archives has developed, thus avoiding innumerable problems and possible obstacles. such as passport verification through intergovernmental databases, thus ensuring security and facilitating cross-border travel.
- Today's technology also allows less developed countries to adapt quickly by approaching technologies in developed countries as the world becomes a global village.
According to (Nielsen, 2006), "The "digital divide" refers to the fact that certain parts of the population have substantially better opportunities to benefit from the new economy than other parts of the population. Most commentators view this in purely economic terms. However, two other types of the divide will have a much greater impact in the years to come."
Step 1: Economic fracture
The Digital Divide Shows the incapacity of some people who can not afford a computer. (Nielsen, 2006)
Step 2: Usability fracture
The usability divide is worse than the economic divide, but the bottom line is that people would not be able to use a computer even if they had one for free because the technology remains so complicated. (Nielsen, 2006)
Step 3: Divide empowerment
The divide in empowerment, however, is difficult because not everyone would take full advantage of the possibilities offered by this technology even though computers and the Internet were extremely easy to use. (Nielsen, 2006)
According to (Bourgeois, n.d) "The term ethical is defined as" a set of moral principles "or" the principles of conduct that govern an individual or a group ".
It is crucial that computer users are aware of the ethical use of copyrighted material since computer ethics is a set of morals governing the use of computers. In the same vein, It is important that the use of resources, information about schools, businesses and employees be done in an ethical way.
According to (WIKBOOKS, 2018) "There is a set of rules called The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics - rules that speak for themselves. These commands are:"
Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.
Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's computer files.
Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
Thou shalt not copy or use proprietary software for which you have not paid (without permission).
Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization or proper compensation.
Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you are writing or the system you are designing.
Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your fellow humans [3]
The 10 ethical computer commandments are simple rules to abide by when using a computer.
